» A breeding species in many of the islands of the archipelago (Gran Canaria, Tenerife, La Gomera, La Palma and El Hierro), that is locally common and occupies mainly laurel and humid Canary Pine forests. The feathers of this photo form part of a plucking post of Eurasian Sparrowhawk inside a territory of this raptor. Eurasian Woodcock is a not a common prey of it in the Canary Islands.
