Remarks

» This wader is seen almost annually in the Canaries during the autumn migration, but in low numbers. Also, there are wintering birds in the eastern islands of the archipelago (Fuerteventura and Lanzarote), and more rarely in Tenerife. The bird in the image was seen and photographed at distances of only 6-8 m, and formed part of a group of three individuals, which was seen in the area only for one day.
