» A bird endemic to Tenerife Island, while in Gran Canaria the similar, sister species F. polatzeki is present. Both blue chaffinches are linked to Canary Pine (Pinus canariensis) woodlands. Las Lajas is one of the best sites to see Tenerife Blue Chaffinch.
