» It is a bird recorded both in migration and during the winter in the Canary Islands. On Tenerife there is a small, regular wintering population, linked to endemic Juniper trees in the high mountain vegetation about 2,000 m a.s.l. The bird in the image seems to belong to the subspecies T. torquatus alpestris and is situated close to a Juniperus cedrus small tree
