Remarks
» This species is seen almost annually in the Canary Islands during both migration periods (with more observations in the autumn), but in low numbers. Sometimes birds spend the winter in the archipelago. The majority of the records are from the eastern and central islands (Lanzarote and its islets, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Tenerife). The age of the bird shown in the images was confirmed by Tony Prater, expert in shorebirds.
