» Northern Lapwing is a regular wintering species and irregular migrant bird in the Canary Islands, but its numbers have reduced considerably during the last decades. Richard Chandler, an expert in shorebirds and bird photography, said that the bird is most probably an adult, but he cannot exclude a first-winter individual.
