» The present population of the Canaries is most concentrated in the eastern islands (Fuerteventura and Lanzarote), while on Gran Canaria and Tenerife it is practically extinct as a breeding species. There are also some breeding pairs on Lobos and La Graciosa islets. To be considered locally endangered and in need of specific conservation measures.
