» At present this species is breeding in the Canaries only on Gran Canaria, Tenerife and La Palma, while in the rest of the archipelago it is possible to see birds during migration periods. Some years ago Common Tern was a breeding bird also on Fuerteventura, La Gomera and El Hierro.
