Remarks

» A species in full natural expansion in the Canary Islands after the mid-90s, breeding in Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Tenerife, and has also been observed in La Graciosa, La Gomera and El Hierro. It is supposed that the birds colonized the archipelago from the nearby North African coast (the distance from Fuerteventura to South Morocco is about 95 km).
