» This recently fledged chick was found along a road in a banana cultivation area during daytime. It was captured by hand and released inside a banana plantation in the same area. It is not rare to find Eurasian Woodcocks in such strange habitat in some of the Canary Islands (e.g. Tenerife and La Palma), where the species breeds.
