Remarks

» Dark-eyed and pale-faced relative of the Red-billed Hornbill. Ursula Franke has commented that this may be a hybrid of T.damarensis and T.rufirostris - see reference Delport et al (2004) Structure of an African Red-billed Hornbill (Tockus erythrorhynchus rufirostris and T.e.damarensis) hybrid zone as revealed by morphology, behavior and breeding biology.
