Starting on Tuesday, 18th August, there are numerous live and pre-recorded events planned and a multitude of other exciting features.
Please visit the African Bird Club stand at https://virtual.birdfair.org.uk/index.php/african-bird-club/.
Lectures will be progressively available and the ABC lecture ‘A new generation of African birders’ by ABC Council Member and South Africa Country Representative John Kinghorn will be available for three months from Sunday 23rd August.
The British Birdwatching Fair has been held (since 1989) at a nature reserve (Rutland Water Nature Reserve) in the UK. The 3-day event, probably the largest and the most popular of its kind, normally attracts more than 20,000 visitors and over 450 exhibitors who display their products. The Fair brings together birdwatchers to celebrate birds, to develop a commercial fair for the birdwatching industry, and to support international conservation projects. This year the profits from the Fair will support BirdLife International to combat the illegal bird trade in South Asia.
