SANParks Honorary Rangers Marakele Region takes pleasure in inviting you to join us for an unforgettable birding weekend at the Marakele National Park, in the heart of the Waterberg Mountains. The Marakele National Park is a true birding haven.

You can expect to see, amongst others, the Gurney’s Sugarbird, Short-Toed Rock-Thrush, Buff-Streaked Chat, Orange-Breasted Bush-Shrike, Cape Grassbird and Crimson-Breasted Shrike. Perhaps the park’s biggest attraction, is its colony of Cape Vultures, said to be the largest in the world. Learn from experienced birding guides while revelling in the magnificent scenery of the Waterberg Mountains.

Registration: From 1st August 2018

Weekend dates:  23rd-25th November 2018.
