Join the African Bird Fair on Saturday 5th September

Exhibitions, talks and debates for everyone across Africa and beyond

BirdLife South Africa has for about 15 years held physical Bird Fairs, latterly at the Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden. These have been very popular.  Due to Covid-19, BLSA have decided to have a virtual event in 2020.  And, of course, because it will be virtual, it will now be possible to have a truly African event.

BLSA are employing a virtual platform which will allow a range of people to present both pre-recorded and live talks. There will also be discussions, interviews, demonstrations and even a quiz. There will also be many exhibitors, from bird tour operators and bird clubs to optic companies and bird feeder manufacturers.  A real highlight will be a talk on Albatrosses by Peter Harrison MBE, one of the worlds foremost authorities on seabirds.

African Bird Club will be featured through both exhibition stand and talks.  Please register (for free) now to enjoy this unique event.
