This exciting conference will take place in Rabat on 13th-14th March 2018.

1st Symposium on Wild birds and emerging zoonotic diseases

These last ten years have seen a significant increase in the movement of infectious agents and risk of pandemics: global expansion of bird flu since 2003, H1N1 in 2009, to cite just a few examples. These recent outbreaks highlight the increasing globalization of health risks and the importance of the human-animal-ecosystem interface in evolution and the emergence of pathogens. The international year of biodiversity in 2010 helped to enrich this finding, which must better balance the interpretation of these emergences between causes and consequences of human activities in ecosystems, and help in the coherent decision-making in various sectoral fields. For two days, the Faculty of Sciences of Rabat, will host conferences, roundtables and workshops that will bring together researchers, students, policy makers, managers of land and socio-economic stakeholders by the wild birds and emerging zoonoses. The 1st International Symposium "Wild birds & emerging zoonoses: contribution of eco-epidemiology under the 'one health' concept ' " will host young researchers, experts and teachers to communicate their results research in relation to the theme and put solutions available to managers. Join and we will make you welcome!
