The Field Guide to the Birds of East Africa by Stevenson and Fanshawe is extremely useful for this part of Africa and covers Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi. 

Birds of Africa south of the Sahara also covers all the species found in the East Africa region.
