» Scarce and irregular wintering species in the Canary Islands, seen also during migration periods. The majority of records refer to the central and eastern islands (Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura and Lanzarote), with better conditions for this and other waders. The age of the bird was confirmed by Tony Prater, expert in shorebirds.
