West African Ornithological Society / Société d’Ornithologie de l’Ouest Africain The West African Ornithological Society grew out of the Nigerian Ornithologists’ Society, which was founded in February 1964. Its object is to promote scientific interest in the birds of West Africa (28 countries) and to further the region’s ornithology, mainly by means of its journal Malimbus. The full text of Malimbus volumes more than three years old, as well as consolidated indexes of Malimbus, are available free on the Society’s Malimbus website. |
