These subscriptions include the cost of sending all ABC publications appearing in the year to addresses in Europe or Africa. For members with addresses on other continents there is an additional charge of £2 per annum to cover the extra postage costs. This does not apply to Life Members.

*The additional amounts paid by Supporting Members are used to subsidise African members who may not be able to pay the full rate. Supporting Members can nominate the individuals they wish to support in this way or leave it to the Council’s discretion. If more funds are contributed than are needed for this purpose, the excess is allocated to the Club’s conservation programme.

MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

- Members receive the ABC Bulletin, published twice yearly.

- An information service for African birders.

- A wide variety of club merchandise, books, trip reports, checklists and other sales goods are available for purchase. Proceeds are put into African conservation projects.

- Regular meetings are arranged for members with presentations on different aspects of African birds, birding and conservation.

South African Membership Scheme

Residents of South Africa can now pay membership fees in Rand. BirdLife South Africa have kindly agreed to administer the scheme.

Student (full-time) membership : R110.00
Supporting membership: R350.00/R700.00
Life membership: R4000.00

These subscription rates are valid for 2008.
